Hustle & Flow - From desesperation comes inspiration

Generalement on voit des rappeurs qui chantent sur les macs, qui se comportent comme des macs, en fait qui aimeraient etre des macs. Dans ce film c'est l'inverse, c'est un mac (pimp en anglais) qui aimerait devenir un rappeur. Et c'est bien la premiere fois de ma vie que je vois un mac qui m'est sympathique. Terrence Howard qui joue le role de Djay est superbe. Sa voie, son visage, son attitude sont parfaits.

En fait Djay n'est pas le mac habituel. Il est plutot l'image du pauvre type qui a derape, qui ne s'est pas integre dans cette societe qui lui joue des tours. En fait jamais on ne sent que Djay exploite ses filles. Il est un beau-parleur qui les dirige de maniere ferme sans etre vicieuse. Un jour il achete dans la rue un clavier d'occasion et il commence a lancer des mots, des rimes sur le papier. Il rencontre un ami d'enfance qui est justement dans la musique et qui va l'aider. Djay ecrit surtout sur ses frustrations, sur ses aspirations, sur sa vie quoi et c'est rude, grossier, mais jamais vulgaire. Les scenes d'enregistrement de la maquette sont sublimes, reelles, mais rien ne bat les scenes ou Djay et Nola echangent leurs visions, leurs espoirs et desespoirs. Le destin de Djay est tout trace mais malgre ca il resort de ce film un certain optimisme.

Je m'egare un peu, je ne suis pas ce que l'on appelle un cinephile et je parle generalement tres mal des films que j'aime. Et j'adore ce film, Hustle & Flow est le film du moment pour moi, apres Crash bien sur. Terrence Howard jouant dans les deux films, n'est pas totalement etranger a cet interet. Cet acteur est incroyable.

Voici quelques paroles des chansons que Djay cree au long du film. Ce n'est pas de l'anglais classique comme vous pouvez vous l'imaginer. La frequence de mots grossiers est elevee, mais comme je l'ai dit precedemment, ce n'est jamais vulgaire. Et ensuite le trailer, magnifique.
